NAN II was a story before it was a robot.
Every robot starts somewhere. NAN II started on the page.

Written and drawn
Jody Morris Gelbart wrote and illustrated a short story about a robot named NAN II, and registered it with the U.S. Copyright Office on January 29, 2014.

The years between
The world caught up
The story waited while computers got small enough to ride inside a robot, and AI got good enough to run with no cloud at all.
-
Off the page
Designed by the person who dreamed it up
Jody brought NAN II to life, and kept going: Jody designed every one of its arcade games and wrote its theme music, so NAN II's games and theme song are its very own.

Today
In the workshop
NAN II talks, plays, reads and translates, and its wheels are being built. It's in the workshop now, being tested.
